Ralf’s Gin Of The Week – ARC Archipelago Botanical Gin

Try this Gin now:

Today I would like to introduce you to ARC Archipelago Botanical Gin, a gin from the Philippines – this is my first gin from the Philippines to try, so I’m really looking forward to it.

The gin contains 28 botanicals, 22 of which, such as pomelo, dalandan, calamansi, dayap, sampaguita, ylang ylang and kamia flowers, are harvested directly from the Philippines. Some of them I have never heard of, so I am curious to see how the gin tastes.

I’ve never tasted many of the botianicals before, so of course it’s hard for me to single out individual botanicals. But for me, it tastes very tasty and balanced. Notes of juniper and citrus are clearly recognisable and this is incredibly tasty, whether neat or on the rocks.

I tried the gin with two different mixers: Thomas Henry Tonic Water as well as Mistelhain’s DASTONIC Ambition Tonic Water and both are a dream. I would recommend a mango as a garnish, but unfortunately I didn’t have any at home.

Great news for us: The ARC Archipelago Botanical Gin is now also available in Germany.

What I also found out while researching the gin is that the Philippines leads the world in per capita consumption of gin .

With this in mind, I wish you a good start to the weekend.

Cheers Ralf
