Today we go to Switzerland.
Turicum London Dry Gin from Zurich, is distilled from 12 select ingredients. These include lime blossoms, hand-picked fir tips from Zurich, voatsiperifery pepper and rose hips. The botanicals already read very interesting.
As soon as Turicum Dry Gin leaves its distinctive clay bottle for the nose, it exudes spicy, peppery notes and a slight hint of juniper.
On the palate, it remains spicy. An oily, resinous juniper note slowly spreads. There, the gin plays much better with its versatility – and has citrus notes as well.
I enjoy the Turicum Gin today with a Gents Swiss Roots Tonic Water.
As a gin & tonic, I taste a distinct, oily juniper note paired with a dose of freshness. For me, the ideal blend.
All in all, a very nice, classic gin with which I like to start the weekend.
