André’s Gin Of The Week – NamGin

Try this Gin now:

A refreshing dry gin from the desert country Namibia with devil’s claw, a medicinal plant that grows in the south-eastern part of Namibia and a unique character with elegant juniper notes and stimulating explosive citrus nuances.

NamGin

The basic alcohol is dehydrated from dates and fermented. The mash and the distilled alcohol are distilled six times before the alcohol is filtered.
By maceration and distillation three different basic spirits are produced.

The classic Wacholder spirit with Java pepper and cardamom, the spice spirit with cinnamon, ginger, lavender, rosemary, peppermint and devil’s claw and the citrus spirit from oranges, lemons and limes. After several weeks of rest, the NamGin acquires its unique characteristic through the combination of the three basic spirits.

The NamGin manufacturer recommends a cucumber-based tonic. Unfortunately, I have none there, so I tested it with Fever-Tree Dry Tonic. To me, the gin & tonic tastes so excellent. the fruity note comes through beautifully. Just the right thing on beautiful summer days.

Cheers!
