Today I would like to introduce you to the Tanqueray Alcohol Free 0.0%.
Since I have resolved not to drink any alcohol in February, this is an interesting alternative to a gin.
Tanqueray Gin is a permanent fixture in my bar. However, the Tanqueray Alcohol Free 0.0% is new to my shelf. Tanqueray remains true to itself with this “gin” (if you can even call it that), because the same botanicals are used here as in the London Dry Gin. Juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice.
When you open the bottle, you immediately have the juniper notes in your nose followed by citrus notes, you can easily taste the coriander.
I tried the Tanqueray Alcohol Free 0.0% with one of my favourite tonics the Mistelhain’s DASTONIC Signature Tonic Water and I have to say, it’s really fun!
It’s no comparison to a “real” gin with alcohol, but it’s a great alternative for this period of abstinence. Next I will try a Tom Collins (gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, soda) with the alcohol-free Tanqueray.
